On a rainy day this early June, I was ecstatic to photograph at the Gramercy of Lakeside Manor, a venue I consider the gem of South Jersey.
My beautiful couple Kaitlin and Louis reached out to me few years back through Facebook. After our initial meeting, our connection was immediate, and Kaitlin and Louis decided that I would have the honor of photographing one of the most important days of their lives.
We had our engagement session amid the pandemic, but this didn’t stop the pictures from turning out beautifully. With views of one of my favorite beaches, Asbury Park, every shot was nothing short of picturesque. The engagement went off without a hitch, and I couldn’t wait to start photographing their special day in a few months.
Arriving at deep gardens park the day of their wedding, my excitement came to a slight halt when clouds emerged instead of the predicted sunshine.
Despite the unpredictable weather, with drizzles of rain on and off, we decided to proceed with our plans and do the first look. When Louis turned around and saw Kaitlin for the first time, it was nothing short of magical. It’s hard to forget his face, her expression, and those tears that trickled down the groom’s face when he saw his beautiful bride all dolled up for the first time.
The first look shared among the bride and groom was just as romantic as the venue itself. Deep Cut Gardens always provides inspiration for my work, especially during peak season. The Park has so may attractive areas with some amazing pocket of lights that allow me to create beautiful portraits of my couples.
Their ceremony took place inside the Gramercy followed by an amazing reception that people were talking about even as they were leaving the venue. Every time I photograph at the Gramercy at Lakeside Manor, I feel so inspired by the ambiance of the reception halls, their intricate chandeliers, and the whole overall aura of the venue.
Not even the weather could stop me from capturing the obvious love and connection this couple shared, and I felt so grateful that I was chosen to celebrate their matrimony.
